Eupe is committed to upholding and promoting human rights and good governance principles across our operations. We are committed to transparent standards of ethical business behaviour with all our stakeholders, making sure we comply with all applicable laws and regulations and uphold our company policies, practices and procedures.

Our Human Rights Policy also formalises the Group’s commitment to fostering a positive and proactive work environment for our staff, contractors and business partners that is defined by fairness, dignity and equality.

OUR COMMITMENTS

Our commitments to respect the rights of our employees and stakeholders include:

  • Non-Discrimination:
    Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability or any other characteristics protected by applicable laws is strictly prohibited. Our goal is to offer equal employment opportunities and maintain a workplace free from discrimination.
     
  • Harassment:
    Any form of harassment is prohibited at the workplace whether verbal, physical, sexual or other threats. Rigorous measures are in place to prevent such incidents, and any reported misconduct is addressed confidentially. Further investigation and disciplinary action will be initiated against any employee found guilty of violating this requirement.
     
  • Fair and Ethical Employment Practices:
    We adhere to fair and ethical employment practices, encompassing fair wages, reasonable working hours and safe working conditions. Recognition is granted based on performance and contribution, and equitable remuneration is aligned with qualifications, skills and relevant experiences.
     
  • Child Labour:
    Child labour is prohibited, and we ensure that all employees meet the minimum age requirements as stipulated by local labour laws.
     
  • Forced/Compulsory Labour:
    Any form of forced or compulsory labour is prohibited, ensuring all employment within the Group is voluntary and employees have the right to terminate their employment with reasonable notice.
     
  • Health and Safety:
    A safe and conducive working environment is promoted, where every employee is required to diligently observe and comply with all Occupational Health and Safety laws and regulations within the Group.

OUR PROCESSES

Comprehensive grievance procedures and whistleblowing channels have been instituted to give effect to these commitments. These include:

  • Code of Conduct and Ethics
  • Integrity Policy (Whistleblowing Policy) and Procedures
  • Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Workplace Harassment and Bullying Reporting Procedures

These processes allow staff and stakeholders to report potential ethics, human rights, legal or regulatory violations including improper or unethical business practices. Effective mechanisms are in place to guarantee that individuals filing such reports will not be subjected to discrimination or harassment.
